Robyn Davidson is famous for her solo trek across the Australian Desert accompanied by her camel and her dog “Digity.” She did not intend to write about her journey, but after being asked to record her experience, she won major awards for her writing.
By choosing to cross the desert on her own, she was telling the world that our dignity is found in our choices and actions, not by following the direction of others.
