The soul is like a bowl of water, and our impressions are like a ray of light falling upon the water. When the water is troubled, it appears the light itself has moved, but the light has not moved.

The movement of the water has no ability to change the nature of the light falling upon it. Remember then, change has no ability to alter the philosophy that you know and cherish.
