Thought For The Day
- Remember to thank your Creator every day.
I guessed wrong. Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose. All indications were for rain today so I used Komoot to build a route that would take me to a motel for the evening. That means that tomorrow It will take me about 10 miles to get back onto the ACA route. The only problem is, it didn’t rain today. Oh well, it’s an opportunity to do laundry.
So what is it about long-distance cycling that I find so attractive? In a word, freedom. Throw in a little trepidation for good measure, plus a fair amount of physical exercise, and you have a combination that opens doors. It allows you to tap into a heightened awareness of everything around you. That in-turn helps reveal to yourself who you are, also who you would like to be.
Long distance cycling is also exercise for the mind. Exercise helps the brain become more resilient and robust and helps you to recall memories once given up to time. It helps to awaken perception. This awakening helps in living a more robust and inspired life, a life where the vision of service to others becomes a key factor in our becoming more fulfilled. We are not alone.

I snuck into Indiana on a quiet Sunday morning.

I have now started looking for murals.
