Notes
- This is the perfect day to rest. It allowed me to spend a leisurely evening watching the MLB All-Star Game here in town.
- Q. Have you ever wondered why the catcher drops his glove after presenting a target to the pitcher.
- A. It’s because raising his glove to catch the pitch makes it easier to fool the umpire into thinking the pitch was a strike.
- Local knowledge: Bounce Dryer Sheets inside your gloves will keep the mosquitos from biting your hands!
Thought #9
- Protect your heart from things that would lead it astray.
This is a wonderful country we live in. Everywhere I go, I meet fantastic people. Life on the road is different than normal life. It opens you up. It allows you to see things you would not normally see. It allows you to experience new feelings, new knowledge. It makes you aware of how important people are, even people you’ve just met.
I’m almost to the halfway point of the tour. I am making great progress. It looks like it might take fewer days than I originally planned. That’s a good thing. If I want to slow down, I certainly can take the time to do that.
Tomorrow is a big day. I’m going to try and do 62 miles to get into Minneapolis to see friends. I’m trusting the Komoot app to build a good route for me to follow.

I met some great people while I was watching the All-Star Game last night!

My boy back home.
