Rest Day.
Here’s a tip. If you want to find the center of a small town in Northeastern Montana. Look for the grain elevator.
I’ve covered 211 miles over the preceding three days. That was overdoing it a bit. I’m going to have to take a hair off each day to go the distance. I’ve mentioned the weather, it has not been ideal. I’ve been trying to make it to destinations that have motels. Not every town I pass thru does. I’ll be doing a lot more camping once summer starts. Yes, this feels to me like April. What a weird weather year we have had. All over it seems.
This morning I hiked down to the bank of the Missouri River. I wanted to see the famous namesake spot. I couldn’t pass up the chance to view the mighty Missouri. I think I’ll have more chances down the road but I was curious what it looks like here. Perhaps a little known fact, the Missouri and the Mississippi combined, form the fourth longest river system in the world.
Tomorrow starts a new adventure.
